Dragino LDDS12 LiDAR ToF Distance LoRaWAN Sensor

The LiDAR probe uses laser induction technology for distance measurement.

Overview

The Dragino LLDS12 is a LoRaWAN LiDAR ToF (Time of Flight) Distance Sensor for an Internet of Things solution. It measures the distance to an object as close as 10 centimeters (±5 cm up to 6 m) and as far as 12 meters (±1% starting at 6 m)! The LiDAR probe uses laser induction technology for distance measurement.

The LLDS12 can be applied to scenarios such as horizontal distance measurement, parking management system, object proximity and presence detection, intelligent trash can management system, robot obstacle avoidance, automatic control, sewer, etc.

It detects the distance between the measured object and the sensor and uploads the value via wireless to a LoRaWAN IoT Server.

The LoRa wireless technology used in LLDS12 allows devices to send data and reach extremely long ranges at low data rates. It provides ultra-long-range spread spectrum communication and high interference immunity, minimizing current consumption.

LLDS12 is powered by an 8500 mAh Li/SOCl₂ battery, designed for long-term use for up to 5 years.

Applications

Small Applications

Advanced sensor technology provides real-time monitoring of container levels, enabling optimization of collection routes and reducing unnecessary pickups. Long-range wireless connectivity enables remote management of waste management systems, improving efficiency and reducing environmental impact.

Large Applications

Our sensors can monitor waste levels in large dumpsters, providing data for streaming the collection process and improving efficiency. The durable design of the sensors makes them suitable for harsh environments. By leveraging this technology, companies can improve sustainability and reduce operational costs.
