The modular design of the IG61 combined with Samsara’s open platform offers the ultimate flexibility across a range of sites. The system can connect to existing PLCs, controllers, and on-site servers, or directly to your assets with an array of available digital, analog, and counter I/O modules that make it easy to size and expand deployments.

High-capacity onboard storage so you never lose important data

While the Samsara cloud provides flexible and secure long-term data storage, the IG61 also includes ample onboard storage to prevent data loss in the event of a network outage. If an outage does occur, data is stored on the device until the network connection is re-established and the IG61 automatically resyncs its data with the cloud dashboard.

Powerful edge processing for low-latency automated control

The IG61 offers the best of both worlds–cloud connectivity for scalability and edge processing for low-latency automated control. Control programs are configured and deployed via the Samsara cloud dashboard. Once implemented, they are stored and executed locally–the IG61’s powerful onboard processor ensures that each program runs in real-time with zero lag, independent of network bandwidth or connectivity.
